Office of Scholarship Programs

ASU is proud to announce the opening of the Office of Scholarship Programs. Our staff is committed to the success of new and current students by providing timely information, coordinating efforts with other campus offices and awarding scholarships.

We are happy to provide you with resources to assist you in your search for scholarship funds from ASU and external sources. Our scholarship team coordinates and oversees the university’s comprehensive scholarship program and works with the Carr Scholarship Advisory Committee, the Financial Aid Office and the Office of Enrollment Management to provide you with the best service possible. The scholarship team coordinates and administers more than 400 ASU scholarship programs a year that range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars.

  • Applying

The ASU general scholarship application is available on RAMS or RamPort. After you log in, follow these steps to access the application:

    • Select the Financial Aid tab.
    • Go to Financial Aid Self Service.
    • Click on “Applications and Surveys.”
    • Complete all the applications listed.
  • Scholarship Award Decisions

Students selected to receive a scholarship from ASU will be sent notification to their angelo.edu e-mail address. The award notice will provide instructions on how to view and accept the terms and conditions of the scholarship awarded.

  • Scholarship Eligibility

Donors establish the criteria for each general endowed scholarship. Many ask that their scholarship go to a worthy or deserving student, while others specify a grade point average, particular high school, classification in college or other attribute.

The number one and most important criteria for all of our scholarships is that you must first be admitted to Angelo State University as a degree-seeking student.

Apply for Admission

Before you can be considered for any ASU scholarships, you must first apply for admission to the university. Please select the option that describes you.
