Scholarship Application Timeline
New students: Complete the ASU admission application!
All students: Prepare general essays and responses to questions about your academic and career goals. Remember that scholarship donors are looking for a reason to invest in your education.
Check with your high school guidance counselor for scholarship opportunities. Admitted students can now complete the ASU General Scholarship Application on Rams/RamPort. Students are also able to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Apply for outside scholarships (scholarships not offered through ASU). Many scholarship databases have the same resources. Pick one database and do scholarships that ask for extra items - resume, essays, references…
Check with your academic department for information about department-specific scholarships and their application process.
Check with local businesses and organizations in your community about scholarship opportunities. Be prepared to discuss what your academic and future goals are!
Apply for more outside scholarships. Deadlines are approaching! Be sure to have a friend, parent, or mentor proofread your scholarship essays.
The deadline for the ASU scholarship applications is in March! Students awarded an ASU scholarship will receive notifications via email.
Fall semester begins. Any scholarships you were awarded will need to come directly to the Scholarship Programs Office.
