  • Volunteer Opportunities

    Community Service

    The Community Service component of the Center for Student Involvement helps students take advantage of volunteer opportunities in San Angelo and the surrounding areas. These efforts promote civic responsibility and help students connect with each other and the greater community.

    The university also coordinates major volunteer events and efforts that require transportation to locations outside of the Concho Valley. Project Spring Break allows students to spend their Spring Break volunteering on projects that range from disaster relief and home construction to environmental conservation and education.

    Student Government Association

    ASU’s Student Government Association (SGA) makes decisions that affect the campus as a whole. About 30 students from each academic college serve on the SGA and are elected for one-year terms. In addition to initiatives that contribute to the university’s Master Plan, SGA students also work with ASU administrators, faculty and staff to shape the campus’s policies on parking, housing, food, health services, academic programs and more.

    UCPC

    The University Center Program Council (UCPC) is one of ASU’s largest student organizations and brings more than 50 events and programs to campus every year. Events promote education, socializing, recreation and personal growth and include:

    Students involved with UCPC develop skills in leadership and event planning and promoting.
