Family Day is an opportunity for ASU students to invite their families to campus.

      Food Service
      The Food Service Center is open from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
      Roscoe’s Den is open from 7:00 PM - Midnight

      Multicultural Center Fun Run
      The Multicultural Center is hosting the 2nd Annual Multicultural Center 5K and Fun Run on the ASU campus. Registration/check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. This event is free and open to students, staff, faculty and the community.

      Welcome Breakfast
      Enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast at the Crossroads Café in the ASU University Center. This is a great way to start the day! We hope to see you there.

      The West Texas Collection Presents “Lincoln, The Constitution and the Civil War”

      Our West Texas Collection (WTC) boasts an impressive archive of historical information associated with this region. In addition to that collection, the WTC is hosting a display about Abraham Lincoln, the U.S. Constitution and the Civil War by the National Constitution Center. Staff members will be present during the morning to assist with any historical questions that may arise.

      “Sibling Tours” Hosted by the RAMbassadors

      Have you toured the ASU campus yet? If not, this is the perfect opportunity.

      UREC Climbing Gym, Weight Room, Gymnasium, Indoor Track and Racquetball Courts Open For Use
      Take advantage of this opportunity to try out our top-notch facilities.  The Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance will be available for families of ASU students. If you haven’t climbed the 40-foot pinnacle indoor rock wall, this is your chance!

      Tours of San Angelo
      The Multicultural Center invites you to experience the local community with our Tours of San Angelo. Our guide will provide live narration as you enjoy a journey to many of our historical sites and learn about our traditions. This event is free and open to ASU students and families. Water will be provided. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with tours departing at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.

      Meat and Greek Welcome Barbecue
      Join us for the 2nd annual Meat and Greek Welcome Barbecue! This is a complimentary lunch with hamburgers provided by our Greek Life organizations and a roasted pig with side dishes provided by the ASU Meat and Food Science Association.

      Family Day Activities

      It’s time for some fun in the sun! Meet and mingle with multiple student organizations and campus departments as you participate in the variety of activities. Here are a few things you can expect:

      • Face stickers and fingernail polish with the ASU Cheerleaders
      • A photo booth provided by Communications and Marketing
      • Kettle cooked popcorn compliments of Orientation Programs
      • Traditional Korean games by the Korean Student Association & International Studies

      Free Admission to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts
      The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts (SAMFA) would like to welcome you to San Angelo by providing free admission into the museum and tours of the facilities every 30 minutes. If you like art, this is a great opportunity for you!  You can also take some time to visit multiple downtown San Angelo locations that are near the museum.

      Chemistry Magic Show

      Have you ever seen a magic show based on chemical principles? Prepare to be dazzled by the student chapter of our American Chemical Society as they host an entertaining and educational show for you and your family.

      Physics Show

      Are you and your family looking for an interesting and engaging show?  If so, then Eureka! You’ve found it!  Join the ASU chapter of the Society of Physics Students as they explain natural phenomena in fun and fantastic demonstrations. It’s physics for the MASSes.

      Full Dome Movie: “Earthquake”

      “Earthquake” explores the forces that transform the surface of our planet. After a stunning flight over the San Andreas Fault, audiences will travel back in time to experience San Francisco’s infamous 1906 earthquake. Data-driven visualizations illustrate Earth’s story, revealing how subtle motions and sudden ruptures have shaped our planet over eons—and how geological activity influences the course of human history. Finally, viewers will see how scientists and engineers help society prepare for a safer future.

      Ram Jam: Family Day
      Ram Jam, a pre-game tailgate and pep rally, is hosted at the ASU Alumni Association. The University Center Program Council (UCPC) is bringing American Idol winner Kris Allen to the event.  You can also catch performances from the ASU Cheerleaders, Ram Band and Angelettes. Come enjoy the live entertainment, free food and refreshments as we prepare to cheer our Ram football team to a win!

Family members can opt to stay overnight on campus during Family Day weekend, but limited rooms are available.
