Learning Disabilities
The University does not offer a specialized counseling, tutoring, or therapeutic program for persons with learning disabilities. There are tutoring labs available to all students in Math and English and many students with learning disabilities have found these to be helpful. The Office of Student Life will work with students with learning disabilities to see what classroom accommodation can be provided (i.e., extended time examinations) without compromising the academic standards of the course. In addition, many students will find the reading machine (located in the Porter Henderson Library) helpful with conditions such as dyslexia.
