Things Every Non-Traditional Student Should Know

  • Please contact the Student Life Office at (325) 942-2191 or non.trads@angelo.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
  • You have been assigned a free student e-mail account. Use it to learn more about class assignments and stay in touch with faculty, staff and fellow students. Check it several times a week.
  • Save money on entertainment. Many local restaurants, theaters, etc., offer student discounts. Be sure to take your student ID.
  • You can count child care costs toward your financial aid request. Visit with our financial aid counselors to find out more.
  • The Texas Workforce Commission has a program to assist students with child care costs. Call (325) 653-2321 to find out if you qualify.
  • You can find out if a daycare center is licensed and in compliance with regulations by visiting the Department of Family and Protective Services website.
  • Bookmark your university catalog and the Student Handbook.
  • Most university events are free or very inexpensive, and are open to your family.
  • The MCS 111 computer lab is open 24 hours a day, Monday through Thursday, when classes are in session.
  • Students can use wireless computer service on campus at any time.
