Study Jam is available during the fall and spring terms only. Unless otherwise noted with a dollar sign ($), activities and events during Study Jam Week are free to ASU students.


     

ASU Tutor Center (3rd floor Library, Rm C301)

  • Monday to Thursday (April 28th to May 1st) 2–9 pm

Supplemental Instruction (SI)

All SI leaders will hold special 2-hour Marathon sessions during their regularly scheduled SI times during Study Jam week. Please contact your SI leader for further details.

Math Lab (3rd floor Library, Rm C302)

BRING YOUR OWN STUDY GROUP!
Math Lab will sponsor private study sessions for your Study Jam study group. Contact us to schedule a day and time and we’ll provide a private tutor for the session.
  • Sunday: 3 – 8 pm
  • Monday through Wednesday: 9 am – 9 pm
  • Closed Friday: 9 am – 12 noon

Please note: Private study groups in the Math Lab will be available during Finals Week (Dec 9–11, Monday through Wednesday, from 9 am – 9pm).

     

Writing Center(3rd floor Library, Rm C305)

  • Sunday (Dec 1):  1 – 4 pm
  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday (Dec 2, 3, 5): 10 am – 5 pm
  • Wednesday (Dec 4): 6 – 8 pm

    NOTE: The Writing Center closes for the Fall semester on Friday (Dec 6) at 12:00 noon.

Keys to Being a
Successful Student

  • Attend class regularly.
  • Refer to the class syllabus often.
  • Read assigned text and additional readings before each class.
  • Listen and take notes during lectures.
  • Review class notes every day and make a list of questions that need to be answered.
  • Compare class notes with other students.
  • Visit your professors during office hours to ask questions.
  • Think about course materials between class meetings.
  • Plan ahead so you do not have to cram for exams or write rushed papers.
  • Attend SI and tutoring.
