How to Set Up Exchange on an Android Device
For ASU Faculty and Staff
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Step 2: Click Add Account, under the “Accounts” menu.
Step 3: Select Corporate from the list of possible accounts.
Step 4: Enter your email address. (NOTE: Your email address is email@example.com).
Step 5: Enter your ASU password.
Step 6: Hit Next.
Step 7: Enter owa.angelo.edu into the “Server” field.
Step 8: Hit Next.
Step 9: Modify the sync settings to your liking.
Step 10: Hit Done.
NOTE: Your mobile device may require a security update in order to sync with the Exchange server. The update allow certain email settings to be setup by the app. Click Activate on this screen and the account will be added.
If the device is failing to add the account:
- Verify that the email address and password are entered in correctly. The email address needs to be in the form firstname.lastname@example.org. Attempting to use email@example.com may not work properly.
- Verify that owa.angelo.edu is entered properly in the “Server” field.
- It is possible that the Wi-Fi or 3g/4g signal is not strong enough to connect. Move to an area with a strong signal and try again.
