Access to Technology on your Personal Devices

Are you shopping for a new computer or need to purchase Microsoft? Let us help! Visit the information below to see how ASU Students can receive discounts on Dell computers as well as Microsoft and Apple Products.

  • Software

    Office 365

    ASU IT Department now offers Office 365 free for students and Faculty/Staff through our licensing agreement with Microsoft. You can visit portal.office.com to access Office Online or install it on your devices.

    • Desktop version of Office 2016: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Web version of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • One license covers 5 phones, 5 tablets, & 5 PCs or Macs per user
    • 1 TB file storage & sharing in OneDrive

    Faculty and Staff will need to use their ASU user name, (i.e. jdoe1@angelo.edu) and not your first name.last name (i.e. john.doe@angelo.edu).

    Windows 10

    ASU IT Department now offers a free upgrade to Windows 10 for students through our licensing agreement with Microsoft. Sign in with your ASU credentials and navigate to the Students or Faculty/Staff tab. From there you will be able to select the Windows 10 icon and download the upgrade.

    Free Virus Protection

    Students, faculty and staff can install Microsoft Security Essentials software for free on their personal computers. This software is for home use only.

    Various Software for Students

    Through a partnership with the ASU Bookstore, students can purchase various software programs (Adobe, Corel, etc.) at a discounted rate. Just go to the ASU Bookstore with your valid Student ID or online at www.shopangelo.com. Only one purchase per product per student is allowed.     Apple Products for Students and Faculty/Staff

    Apple offers special education pricing on Apple computers, software and select third party products to college students, parents buying for a college student, or teachers, homeschool teachers, administrators and staff of all grade levels. Go to the Apple Store, navigate to the Education Store, and search for your school. Select your school, and then click the “Shop for Yourself” button at the bottom of the page. From there, the site will apply your school discount to the products and services on the Apple site.
