Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
The Angelo State University Testing Center offers both the GRE General and the GRE Subject Computer Administered Test (CAT).
-
The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills and is the world’s most widely used admission test for graduate and professional school.
American Bar Association has approved GRE General score use for law school admission.

The GRE Subject Test measures knowledge and skill level in a particular field of study. They’re intended for students who have an undergraduate major or extensive background in Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology.
GRE Subject Test scores are used by admissions or fellowship panels to supplement undergraduate records, recommendation letters, and other qualifications for graduate-level study.
GRE scores are reportable for 5 years after the test date.
