What is the TSI Assessment?
The TSI Assessment is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as the suite of tests that accurately and efficiently assesses reading, writing and mathematics to satisfy Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements.
The TSI Assessment is offered daily (Monday-Friday). Examinees needing all three sections should allow a minimum of 5 hours for testing.
Use the registration form on this page to sign up for the TSI Assessment. Complete and submit the registration to the Testing Center at least 24 hours prior to the exam date. You are not officially registered for an exam until you receive a confirmation e-mail.
NOTE: ACCUPLACER no longer meets TSI requirement. ACCUPLACER is still available for specific programs. Refer to Available Tests tab for more details.
The State of Texas requires each person to complete a Pre-Assessment prior to initially taking the TSI Assessment. The Pre-Assessment can be taken at home. If taking the TSI Assessment for Angelo State University, visit the Pre-Assessment web site.
The fee for TSI Assessment testing is $30 per section/test, and must be paid in person with cash (exact amount), check, money order or credit card at the time of testing. The testing fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Release of Official Scores
Examinees will receive a copy of their score report. If an official score report is to be sent to another college or university, examinees will need to complete the Test Score Release Form. Test scores will not be released without signed authorization from the examinee.
