2010-2011 Officer of the Year
Mark Bailey
Officer Bailey began his service with the University Police Department in January 2009.
Officer Bailey is assigned to the patrol division and currently works 2nd shift. Previously, Mark worked for Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department, Midland Police Department and Sterling County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Bailey is an advanced peace officer and is instructor certified. He has training as a dual purpose police service dog handler/trainer and as a tactical response officer.
Officer Bailey enjoys the atmosphere on campus, since it reminds him of a “small town” community. He appreciates the opportunity to interact with the staff and students.
