Information for:

On-Campus Student Housing

Centennial Village

The university's on-campus student housing program is designed to promote a safe and secure environment for all residents. Concho Hall is staffed 24 hours a day.

Mary Massie's doors are secured from midnight until 7:30 a.m. every day. Robert Massie, and Carr Hall are always secured. Texan Hall and Concho Hall are locked from midnight until 7:30 a.m.

All after-hours access to these facilities are via OneCard and PIN.

Residents have their own room keys and extra keys are secured in the respective residence hall offices. University Police officers do not have room keys, only outside door master keys.

Students in Carr Hall have individual room keys and all exterior doors remain secured 24 hours a day. An outdoor, vandal-proof security telephone located at the main entrance door of the facility is available to students. Also, prospective residence hall visitors use this telephone to have their host/hostess admit them into the building. The facility is supervised by experienced graduate or undergraduate students. Residents in Carr Hall access the outside door with a key card. University Police officers have a master key for the front door only.

Texan Hall

The Vanderventer Apartments offer space on a priority basis to sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students. The facility accommodates four men or four women in each of the apartment units. A full-time resident supervisor is available to assist, provide appropriate supervision, and monitor the students on a day-to-day basis. Security becomes a shared responsibility between the supervisor, the residents, and University Police.

The majority of residence hall students reside on the East side of campus in Concho Hall, Texan Hall, the two Massie residence halls, and the Vanderventer Apartments. University Police officers regularly patrol these residence halls on foot, on bicycle and in patrol vehicles on a 24 hour basis.
