Sheila stated that the “SBDC helped secure grant monies for expanding my business and moving to main street.”

Sheila Whitlock is the owner of Adventurous Embroidery in Junction, TX. As a small business owner she worked from a small space located on her private property. As her orders grew so did her equipment and she needed a larger workspace. She creates everything from screen printed t-shirts to embroidery caps. If you would like your favorite quote or business logo on it – she can make it happen!

Sheila contacted the SBDC to get assistance as she worked to move her business downtown to a retail location with a larger work area. Dezaray Johnson, Certified Business Advisor assisted her in building a solid business plan to present to the local Junction Economic Development Board in hopes to obtain a grant to assist with the cost of the new retail location. Sheila’s hard work and dedication paid off when she met with the EDC Board. Her business plan was accepted and she was granted the funds for the project.
