ASU President Presents Proclamation to Shannon Health: TTUS Regents Honor Health Care Workforce and Medical Professionals

On behalf of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents, Angelo State University President Ronnie D. Hawkins Jr. presented a proclamation of gratitude to Shannon Health today. The first paragraph of the proclamation states, “The Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System is proud to recognize and honor the health care workforce and medical professionals for their dedication and service to the communities and surrounding areas throughout the state and region during the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.”

Virtual Commencement Honors 2020 Summer and Fall Graduates

Angelo State University streamed a virtual commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 6, that honored graduates from the summer and fall semesters. A total of 338 graduate degrees and 531 undergraduate degrees were conferred for the summer and fall semesters combined. The decision to attend Angelo State has already paid off for Daniel Chavez (Class of 2013). At 23, he is the assistant vice president of economic development at the Chamber of Commerce for the nation’s seventh largest city, San Antonio.

For Air Force ROTC cadets, it is the summer they participate in the highly competitive program known as field training, sweating in the Alabama and Mississippi humidity, fighting to earn the right to stay in officer training.
