Earning your ASU biology degree will open career doors for you in a variety of settings, including nature centers and parks, government and environmental agencies, education, research and healthcare. Many of our graduates also move on to prestigious graduate schools.
Plus, graduates of our Pre-Health Professions pre-med program have a medical school acceptance rate about 15% higher than the state average.
Pre-Health Professions Programs are also available for students interested in advancing to professional schools for chiropractic, dentistry, occupational or physical therapy, optometry, physician’s assistant and podiatry.
A Minor in Biology is also available.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment opportunities in virtually all biology-related fields will continue to grow at a faster than average rate through 2028.

Our Courses
Gain hands-on experience in our extensive Angelo State Natural History Collections and new Greenhouse, through field trips and seminars, and by conducting research with your professors.
