Additional Flight Operations Requirements

There are additional items required to fly at Angelo State and some documents that must be provided prior to beginning any flight instruction.

Additional Requirements

These items require additional expenses, not calculated into the student’s tuition, but are nonetheless vital to every Commercial Aviation student’s education. These investments are necessary for every pilot at Angelo State to succeed.

Required for First Day of Class

Students are required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to have the following documentation prior to beginning any flight instruction.

Due to FAA regulations, it is necessary that you bring your current government-issued photo ID (i.e., driver’s license) showing your full legal name spelled out in its entirety.

Without the above documents on file, we cannot legally begin flight training with any student, so be sure to come prepared with these documents.

You can expect to complete the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) on the first day of class. This process will grant you your Student Pilot certificate if you do not already have one. Be sure to take note of your username and password, as they will be vital later in your training.
