About the Program
- Gain hands-on experience in our on-campus Ram TV station, Ram Radio internet radio station, and Ram Page student newspaper. You can also intern at local companies, nonprofit agencies, media outlets, production companies and advertising agencies.
- Network with communication and media professionals at campus, state and regional seminars. You can also study communication while you enjoy European culture in our summer study abroad program.
- You can also specialize your degree for teacher certification, advertising and public relations, or film and new media.
Earning your ASU communication degree will open doors for you into a wide variety of career fields, or prepare you for graduate school.
Our graduates can expect to find work as communications consultants, teachers, editors and law researchers, and in public relations, advertising, corporate video production and the broadcast industry.
Minors in Public Relations, Film Studies and Journalism are also available.

Career Opportunities
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a steady increase in career opportunities for various communication fields through 2028.
Particularly high employment growth is expected for film and video editors, public relations specialists and broadcast technicians.
