About the Program
- Prepare for your career as an economist with our wide-ranging degree plan. You’ll study traditional topics like monetary policy, trade policy, economic development, foreign trade and the behavior of firms.
- Join our student organizations for professional development and networking opportunities, and to attend regional and national conferences. Our chapter of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity was recently named the top collegiate chapter in the nation.
Earning your economics degree will prepare you for career opportunities as an economist in business, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
A Minor in Economics is also available.

The Norris-Vincent College of Business is accredited by AACSB International.
Program Faculty
Our diverse faculty bring real-world experience to the classroom and offer a global view of business and economics. You’ll have the chance to work with them on economic development projects, and our small class sizes mean you’re not just a face in the crowd.
Career Opportunities
The increasing complexity of the global economy and a more competitive business environment are driving a positive jobs outlook for economists. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment is expected to grow by 8% over the next 10 years.
