Note: The required GPA may be waived on a case-by-case basis by the department chair.

Credit Requirements

This graduate-level certificate program consists of 12 credit hours. That means you only have to complete four courses to earn your certificate.

Once you earn your certificate, you can also apply the credits toward an online Master of Science in homeland security degree right here at Angelo State.

Certificate Courses (3 credit hours each)

  • BOR 6322: Studies in Weapons of Mass Destruction Hazards and Responses
  • BOR 6330: Studies in Disaster Preparedness
  • BOR 6331: Seminar in Emergency Planning

Choose one of the following courses:

  • BOR 6301: Seminar in Homeland Security
  • BOR 6302: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems
