You’ll spend a lot of time in our Hunter Strain Engineering Labs. This $4.5 million, 8,000-square-foot facility houses several labs essential to a strong civil engineering program, including the Hydraulics Lab, Geotechnical Lab and Construction Materials Lab. They are all stocked with the latest in high-tech engineering equipment for hands-on learning and research.

Our RAMgineers student organization will provide you with multiple networking and professional development opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to compete against teams from other schools in state and national civil engineering and surveying competitions. Ever tried concrete bowling? Here’s your chance! We also have a chapter of the Society for Women Engineers.
Industry Advisory Council
This group of leading professionals from local, military and state-wide engineering firms helps keep our program on the cutting edge, visits with our students in classes and labs, and guides field trips to working engineering projects. They also provide paid internship opportunities. You’ll get a first-hand look at professional engineers at work.

Our Freshman College is a one-stop resource for programs and services that help you transition into college life, improve your communication skills, and engage in active learning. You can also get academic help in the Math Lab and Writing Center, receive peer mentoring and tutoring through Supplemental Instruction, or set up online tutoring sessions.
