About the Program
- Tailor your degree plan for either vocal or instrumental performance as you gain the knowledge, skills and techniques you need for a career as a music performer, conductor or director.
- Join one of our many ensembles, including the Ram Band, Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, or a smaller chamber ensemble.
- You can also join our student organizations for networking and professional development.
ASU music graduates can expect to start careers in a variety of settings, including music performance, private instruction, church music, the music business and arts management.
The ASU music program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).

Our faculty are also professionals who perform at the local, regional, national and international levels. You will work side by side with them in our studios, and our small class sizes mean you always get the individual attention you deserve.
Career Opportunities
Our graduates enjoy successful careers as performing musicians, band, orchestra and choir directors, church music directors and college music faculty, as well as in other fields. Others have gone on to graduate school.
