Our Doctor of Physical Therapy program will teach and train you to promote, restore and maintain optimal human function for people of all ages. You will develop the knowledge and skills you need to be a skilled physical therapist through our interactive program that focuses on the cardiopulmonary, integumentary, musculoskeletal and neurosensory systems of the human body.
You will also gain practical experience through various clinical rotations, conducting high-level research with your professors, and taking advantage of our state-of-the-art laboratory, fitness and therapy facilities in our new Health and Human Services Building and our Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance.

Hands-On Learning
You will gain important practical experience in our six high-tech skills labs dedicated to orthopedic, cardiopulmonary and wound care instruction, as well as manual therapy, electrotherapy, gait analysis and neuroscience. We also offer an elective course that can lead to certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

You can present the results of your research to the campus and the community at our annual Graduate Research Showcase, network and gain new insights in our PT Lunch and Learn Series, and join our active Angelo Student Physical Therapy Association student group for social and community activities, networking and professional development.
International Studies
Take advantage of a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience on our winter study abroad trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. You will provide physical therapy examination and treatment in an underserved, non-traditional healthcare setting under the guidance of ASU faculty. You will also interact with local PT students and go on various cultural excursions. Completing this program will broaden your horizons and improve your professional employment prospects when you graduate.
