Texas Teacher Certification
Become a teacher at the middle school or high school level.
About the Program
- All required courses are delivered totally online for your convenience.
- You can complete this certification in 12 months or less, depending on course availability, your start date and how many courses you take each semester.
- Our department is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Texas Education Agency.
Admission Requirements
- Application for Admission
- $40 application fee ($50 for international students)
- All college and/or university transcripts
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 - or at least a 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of your degree

Credit Requirements
This program consists of 24 credit hours. That means you only have to complete seven or eight courses to earn your certification, depending on your internship/clinical teaching preference.
