Application Fee Waiver
The Office of Admissions has an undergraduate application fee waiver program available to individuals who qualify under one of the following conditions. The waiver covers the cost of applying for admission to ASU’s undergraduate programs.

ASU Application Fee Waiver
Qualifying students must complete ASU’s Application Fee Waiver Request and provide supporting documentation for one of the following items:
- Letter from applicant’s current school district indicating he/she qualifies for free and/or reduced lunches (freshman applicants only).
- Letter from a caseworker that identifies the applicant as a ward of the state or resident in foster care
- Copy of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with an estimated family contribution (EFC) = 0
- Copy of most recent income tax forms that show the applicant’s total family income (before taxes) at or below the economic index in the table below

For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $4,720 for each additional person.

If you did not file an income tax return for the year 2022, you must submit a Verification on Non Filing Form from the IRS. You can obtain this form by first submitting IRS Form 4506-T to the IRS.
Returning Student Active Duty Military Application Fee Waiver

ASU Staff Application Fee Waiver
