Test-Optional Admission Information

Angelo State has a test-optional admission policy for students.

You may feel that an SAT or ACT score does not fully reflect your academic potential. Our policy gives you the option to apply to Angelo State without consideration of SAT or ACT scores.

When you apply through ApplyTexas, please indicate whether you would like to be considered for admission without your SAT or ACT scores. If you select to have your application reviewed without your test scores, ASU will review your application using other criteria, which may include, but are not limited to, demonstrated academic rigor, leadership, dual credit course completion, college readiness criteria, or any other consideration of applicants.

Assured Admission

You are guaranteed admission into Angelo State if you are graduating from an accredited high school and meet one of the following qualifications:

Class Rank

Students from accredited high schools qualify for automatic admission with the combination of graduating class rank and high school GPA shown below. If you are in the 2nd quarter and do not meet the GPA requirement or are ranked in the 3rd or 4th quarter, your file will be reviewed holistically (see File Review section below).
