The TSI Assessment tests are for basic reading, math and writing skills. Angelo State University administers these tests for those who need TSI compliance.
TSI was implemented to ensure that students enrolled in Texas public colleges and universities possess the necessary academic skills to succeed. TSI test scores are not used to determine admission status; however, entering students must test before enrolling in college-level courses at any Texas public institution of higher education.
Important: Students who do not have TSI test scores on file will not be allowed to register for classes, unless they are exempt. Prospective students should provide proof of an exemption or schedule to take an approved TSI test as soon as possible so that scores will be available in time for orientation and registration.
Students may be exempt from meeting TSI standards if they have met one of the criteria listed below.
