ASU Distinguished Scholarship as a First Time Freshman
You must be enrolled in 12 semester credit hours (SCH) per semester in order to receive disbursement of the ASU Distinguished Scholarship.
If you have already earned a grade in a class but need to repeat it, the ASU Distinguished Scholarship will not pay towards that class. For example, if you are enrolled in 4 new classes and 1 repeat class, the ASU Distinguished Scholarship will only pay towards the tuition and fees for your 4 new classes. Also, the 1 repeated class will not count towards the 30 ASU credit hours requirement because you have already ‘earned’ a grade for that course.
Students who receive the ASU Distinguished Scholarship as a first-time freshman from high school are eligible for eight long consecutive semesters (four years) of the ASU Distinguished Scholarship as long as all ASU Distinguished Scholarship renewal requirements are met.
No, students who will be graduating do not have to enroll in 12 or more hours to benefit from their ASU Distinguished Scholarship.
