Excellence in Banking

The Excellence in Banking Program (EIB) allows business majors to earn a certificate or a minor in commercial banking upon graduation.

In addition to your degree from the Norris-Vincent College of Business (NVCOB), these credentials will enhance your career opportunities by providing skills critical to successful commercial banking professionals.

Competition in the banking industry for knowledgeable bankers is very intense, with ability and experience currently in high demand. The need for quality trained bankers is reflected in the compensation seen throughout the industry.

Our curriculum was specifically designed by the NVCOB, in collaboration with our banking partners, to provide students with training previously available only through industry programs. The courses are designed to complement a business or agribusiness degree, and many of the courses can be utilized to meet either existing course or elective requirements.

Students who participate in this program are required to complete a banking internship. The internships are competitive and paid.
