BizPitch Student Business Competition

The purpose of the BizPitch student business competition is to promote and foster student entrepreneurship at ASU.

The competition is co-coordinated between the ASU Small Business Development Center (lead) and the Norris-Vincent College of Business. BizPitch provides student learning opportunities through interaction with ASU SBDC business advisors and ASU alumni who are successful in business.

  • Join us for the Live Biz Pitch Event!

Finalists (individuals or up to a four-person team) have been selected from the many applications received for this year’s competition. The finalists are currently working with SBDC-certified business advisors and Angelo State University faculty mentors to perfect their pitch over a course of four to five weeks.

They will make a live, in-person, eight-minute presentation to our team of judges who are ASU alumni and successful in business. The judges will ask questions of each finalist for five minutes. Prizes will be awarded on the same evening. The awarded cash prizes are considered as seed money for these specific startups, but also as investments in the university’s overall ecosystem for entrepreneurship.

The live event is sponsored by BES-TEX, Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom, VGI Technology, and The Waterford Wellness Spa.
