Women, even seasoned business managers, tend to people please. We pretend everything is ok, when it is not. Work, Family and Financial stresses all take their toll. It happens to all of us sooner or later! In this session, we will learn that it is ok to be human and say “I’m not okay” or “I need help” and stop pretending. We will learn when and how to ask for help and have realistic expectations of ourselves. In 2020, many women struggled with work-life balance. In this session, we will learn how to set and expect reasonable expectations at work and how to detox to keep ourselves centered.

Throughout her career, she has continued her passion for entrepreneurship by owning several businesses, mentoring individuals as they prepare their 90-second and longer pitches, assisting with business plan development, reviewing of financial cash flow, balance sheet, and income statements (she is a Profit Master certified instructor), and is an angel investor.
She, along with Dr. Jennifer Irvin, received a National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) grant. Under this grant, Jana takes teams of researchers and graduate students through a market validation/customer development I-Corps program to increase the success of university-developed IP. She is also a business consultant for businesses that are in the startup to growth stage. She is a founding member of Success Strategists Virtual Consulting. Her passion is working with entrepreneurial-minded individuals to become successful.
