Business Development Training
The ASU-SBDC provides 80 plus training events each year, most at low or no cost, addressing topics from basic start-up knowledge to technical financial assistance, strategic planning, leadership, marketing, expanding your business, and so much more.
These training events are generally taught in small classes of no more than 20 people allowing for personalized interaction between the SBDC instructor and attendees and providing opportunities to address individual questions.

Learn anytime the basic elements of starting your business with this self-paced course. This course covers the basic steps to starting a business in Texas including how to choose a legal structure, how to find funding for your business and what are the key elements to consider when writing a business plan.
Upcoming events hosted by the Texas South-West SBDC Network
The Texas South-West SBDC network serves 79 counties through 10 SBDC field centers and 4 specialty centers. As a part of this network, you have access to these additional learning opportunities. Some of these events are hosted as live webinars, and some are hosted at various SBDC locations throughout Texas.

Refund & Discount Policy
All training event fees are non-refundable except when a training event is canceled or if you cancel by email at least 5 business days prior to the date of the training event. All promotional pieces will advertise the seminar fee with any discounts available. A discount may be given if three or more people from the same company register. For promotional reasons, coupons may be issued for free admission to attend a targeted training event. ASU students may be given a discount or offered free admission (if requested) to attend certain training events. Training events and conference fees are normally waived for speakers, special guests, facilitators, sponsors, and panelists.
