Summer Camps and Conferences

Angelo State University offers a variety of camps, clinics, workshops and conferences in the summer for kids of all ages.

Music Camp

Grades 6-12
This summer, we will offer programs in band, orchestra, marching band drumline and marching band leadership.

June 5-June 16, M-F

Pearl of the Concho Youth and Teen Writing Camps

Grades 2-8
This camp is for students who enjoy writing. The theme this year is “It’s a Mystery.” We will read a fun mystery, and then discover all the clues to great writing!

Camp UREC - Session 1

Ages 5-13
The purpose of Camp UREC is to provide a sports and development experience for boys and girls ages 5–13 years old, and to develop a wide variety of fundamental physical activity skills that are inherent to a healthy lifestyle and a lifetime of physical fitness.

June 5-June 9

Code Camp

Elementary, middle school and high school students
Students will learn basic computer programming skills using Javascript and graphics, and develop simple animated projects to showcase online.

Beginning Rocketry Camp

Grades 6-12
Students will learn the fundamentals of aerodynamic stability, and design and build their own model rocket using simulation software to predict how high it will fly.

This camp is a partnership between ASU and the Tom Green County Library. The camp will be held at the Tom Green County library with ASU Engineering faculty assisting.

Advanced Rocketry Camp

Grades 6-12
Students will design and build a model rocket capable of carrying a raw hen’s egg and safely returning it to Earth.

This camp is a partnership between ASU and the Tom Green County Library. The camp will be held at the Tom Green County library with ASU Engineering faculty assisting.

Little Ram Camp

Grades K-8
This camp provides students with the opportunity to develop and improve their football skills. The Ram coaching staff will be on hand to instruct campers on drills, fundamentals and technique training of individual positions. This camp encourages each camper to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence!

Rambelles Fundamental Camp

Grades 3-9
This camp is all about working on the fundamentals! We will focus on the basic offensive and defensive skills that you need as a basketball player. We will focus on shooting, ball handling, passing, defense and live play. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and take home some great drills to work on at home!

Rambelles Post/Guard Camp

Grades 9-12
During this camp we will focus on individual development within each player’s position on the court. For guards, we will work on ball handling, shooting, passing, coming off screens to shoot, and finishing. On the post side, we will work on shooting, post positioning and sealing, post moves, high low passing, and finishing with contact. We will also combine our groups and work together with post entries and kick outs.

Ages 5-13
The purpose of Camp UREC is to provide a sports and development experience for boys and girls ages 5–13 years old, and to develop a wide variety of fundamental physical activity skills that are inherent to a healthy lifestyle and a lifetime of physical fitness.

Cyber Camp

Middle school and high school students
Students will learn basic to intermediate cybersecurity skills. They will also learn how to participate in the national CyberPatriot competitions.

Camp UREC - Session 3

Ages 5-13

Soccer Elite Camp

Girls Age 8-12
Our goal is to introduce campers to the experience of playing elite-level college soccer. We provide college-level training sessions, coaching, and player evaluation. We aim to do this in a fun, competitive, and positive environment.

Little Belles Camp

Grades K-3
This camp is all about learning and having fun! We will introduce the fundamentals of basketball and build a foundation for your child to learn the game! We will work on shooting, dribbling, passing, layups, defensive stance and being competitive!

Ages 5-13
The purpose of Camp UREC is to provide a sports and development experience for boys and girls ages 5–13 years old, and to develop a wide variety of fundamental physical activity skills that are inherent to a healthy lifestyle and a lifetime of physical fitness.

Rambelles Elite Camp

Grades 9-12
In this camp, we will focus on enhancing your skills for the college level! You will work on advanced ball handling, shooting and finishing. We will introduce next-level, offensive moves that you can add to your game! This camp is designed to give you an insight of what being a collegiate athlete is like and is a great opportunity for you to learn from experienced coaches!

Rambelles Team Camp

Grades 9-12
This camp is for high school teams or travel teams to come play games against each other on ASU’s campus! We will have all games in the Junell Center/Stephens arena and TASO-certified referees. This is a great opportunity for teams to compete and build team chemistry!

Soccer Full Day Camp

Ages 6-15
This camp is designed to develop players technically and tactically. Campers will be able to practice proper technique when shooting, passing, receiving, dribbling, defending, etc.

Belle Volleyball Varsity Position Camps

Grades 9-12
This camp will focus on position-specific skill training. It is geared toward the athlete with strong fundamental skills that wants to take the next step in their training. The staff will provide training for the positions of setters, hitters and anyone that is interested in improving their individual defense including liberos, defensive specialists, outside hitters, middle hitters and setters.

Belle Volleyball Team Competition Camp

Grades 9-12 Varsity & JV Teams
During this camp, there will be basic offensive and defensive instruction followed by normal match play. It is a great opportunity to see and work with your team before preseason practices begin, try out new line-ups and see how your younger players have developed over the summer.
