The TExES is a criterion-referenced examination designed to measure a teacher candidate’s knowledge in relation to an established criterion rather than to the performance of other candidates. The TExES Educator Standards, based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), form the foundation for the TExES tests. Detailed information can be found online at www.texes.ets.org/tecprogram/.
Registration
Students register and pay for a TExES test online at www.texes.ets.org/registrationBulletin/. The actual test will be administered in the ASU Testing Center.
Cost
The registration fee for a TExES test for the 2012-13 period is $120 per test, with the exception of the TExES Superintendent (064) test. The fee for the 064 test is $240.
