Concert: ASU Symphonic Band

ASU Auditorium, Mayer Administration Building
The ASU Symphonic Band will present a free public concert on Friday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the ASU Auditorium, which is located inside the Mayer Administration Building at 2601 W. Ave. N.

Titled “Visions of Flight,” the concert will feature ASU student musicians on clarinet, saxophone, flute, piccolo, horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba and various percussion instruments. The Symphonic Band is directed by Trent Shuey, ASU assistant director of bands. 

Musical selections will include :

  • “Old Churches” by Michael Colgrass
  • “Dinosaurs” by Daniel Bukvich
  • “Rippling Watercolors” by Brian Balmages
  • “Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song” by Samuel Hazo
  • “The Vikings” by Andrew Boysen Jr.
  • “Visions of Flight” by Robert Sheldon.
