Quartet NOVA Concert

Featuring Dr. Fagner Rocha and Emilee Rocha, violins; Merit Rogge, viola; Christine Kralik, cello

Angelo State University will host a special public concert featuring the locally formed string ensemble.

Quartet NOVA includes:

  • Violin – Dr. Fagner Rocha, director, ASU Symphony Orchestra
  • Violin – Emilee Hall-Rocha, orchestra director, San Angelo Central High School
  • Viola – Merit Rogge, ASU senior music major
  • Cello – Christine Kralik, ASU adjunct music faculty

The quartet’s musical program will include “Chaccone in G minor” by Henry Purcell, “String Quartet Op. 13 No. 2 in A minor” by Felix Mendelssohn, and “Military March Op. 51” by Franz Schubert.

Rocha is also an assistant professor of music at ASU and is the program director for the Concho Valley Youth Orchestra. Hall-Rocha is also the assistant director of the Concho Valley Youth Orchestra. Rogge is a senior from San Angelo and the principal violist for the ASU Symphony Orchestra. Kralik is a doctoral student at the Texas Tech University School of Music and an adjunct cello instructor at ASU.
