Mapping the Heavens: The Radical Scientific Ideas That Reveal the Cosmos
Dr. Priyamvada Natarajan, a noted theoretical astrophysicist at Yale University, will deliver Angelo State University’s 42nd annual West Texas Medical Associates Distinguished Lectureship in Science Honoring Dr. Roy E. Moon on Tuesday, March 20, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
Natarajan studies cosmology, gravitational lensing, and black hole physics. In particular, she has focused on making dark matter maps of clusters of galaxies, the largest know repositories of dark matter. She is also actively engaged in deriving and understanding the mass assembly history of black holes over cosmic time.
