Guest Speaker: Scott Snyder, Council on Foreign Relations
Scott SnyderSnyder’s presentation will begin at 5 p.m. in Room 206 of the Hardeman Building and is open free to the public. In addition to speaking about various North Korean political, military and economic issues, Snyder will also be signing copies of his new book, “South Korea at a Crossroads: Autonomy and Alliance in an Era of Rival Powers.”
Also director of the program on U.S.-Korea policy at the Council on Foreign Relations, Snyder served as the project director for CFR’s independent task force on policy toward the Korean Peninsula. He also co-authored “The Japan-South Korea Identity Clash: East Asian Security and the United States” and has written several book chapters and edited or co-edited several other books on Korean political, economic and security issues. He also serves on the advisory council of the National Committee on North Korea and Global Resource Services.
