Jazz Ensemble Concert

ASU Auditorium, Mayer Administration Building
The ASU Jazz Ensemble will present its annual fall concert on Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the ASU Auditorium located inside the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Ave. N.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and is open free to the public. The musical program will consist of jazz standards, Latin jazz and fusion, including:

  • “Take the ‘A’ Train” by Billy Strayhorn and The Delta Rhythm Boys
  • “All the Things You Are” by Jerome Kern (featuring the trombone section)
  • “Stardust” by Hoagy Carmichael
  • “Haitian Fight Song” by Charles Mingus
  • “In a Mellow Tone” by Duke Ellington
  • “Strasbourg/St. Denis” by Roy Hargrove
  • “Oye Como Va” by Tito Puente

This entertaining evening of jazz music will also feature solos by some of ASU’s finest student musicians.
