Symphony Orchestra ‘Movie Night’ Concert

Join the symphony for a special movie night concert!

The ASU Symphony Orchestra will play accompanying music as the 1920 silent movie “One Week” by Buster Keaton shows on the big screen. Musical selections will include classical pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Johann Strauss and Alexander Borodin, with transitions written by Dr. Fagner Rocha, ASU assistant professor of music.  

The second half of the concert will feature theme songs from popular movies, including:  

  • James Bond “007” theme
  • “La La Land”
  • “Apollo 13”
  • “Pirates of the Caribbean”

The ASU Symphony Orchestra comprises more than 40 student musicians and is directed by Rocha.
