Guest Art Exhibit: “Magic & Logic”

9:00am - 5:00pm
Repeats m-f until Aug. 2
Carr Education-Fine Arts Building
Art and photography enthusiasts are invited to view an exhibit featuring the unique still-life photography of Texas photographer Robert Langham.

Titled “Magic & Logic,” the exhibit will be on display in the Carr EFA Building’s Gallery 193 and will be open for free public viewing on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 2, except for the July 4 holiday.

A native of Tyler, Langham’s kinetic, logic-defying photographs are made with a magician’s sleight of hand and the skill of a master of the darkroom. The subjects of his labor-intensive, analog process also bring together unrelated objects that will keep viewers guessing as the odd collection of objects burns, melts, blooms, twists, tilts, sways and balances precariously before the camera. Unlike digital photographs, the images remain a mystery until the film is developed.

Examples of Langham’s photography are available at and on his personal blog at
