Axioms, Paradoxes and Incompleteness
Presented by Jacob Whitaker
At one time, mathematicians believed that a single set of axioms could allow for the answer of any mathematical question. Kurt Gödel stuck a pin in that balloon. Come for a discussion on meta-mathematics, paradoxes, and arguably one of the most important proofs of the last century. This talk requires only a basic understanding of numbers and a commitment to logical reasoning.
