Percussion Ensemble Concert

ASU’s student Percussion Ensemble presents its annual fall concert.

The nine-member Percussion Ensemble will perform on a wide variety of both familiar and unusual percussion instruments. They will be joined by their director, Trent Shuey, ASU assistant director of bands.

The musical program will include:

  • “Scratch” by Eugene Novotney
  • “Music for Pieces of Wood” by Steve Reich
  • “The Whistler” by George H. Green
  • “Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble” by Ney Rosauro
  • “Mudra” by Bob Becker
  • “Square Dance” by Takayoshi Yoshioka performed by the ASU Marimba Quartet
  • “Rainbow Ripples” by George H. Green

The Percussion Ensemble students perform on a wide variety of percussion instruments. Ensemble members include Destiny Flores of San Angelo, Jose Gonzales of Lyons, Brooklynn Guthrie of Brownwood, Elizabeth Hahn of Carrollton, Coulter McWilliams of Ozona, Adrian Ortega of Sweetwater, Bradley Rawson of San Angelo, Dominic Rodriguez of Austin, and Isaias Torres of San Angelo.
