Symphony Orchestra Concert: “Musical Landscapes: Music of Old and New Composers”

ASU’s 40 student Symphony Orchestra will present its first concert of 2020.

The concert will begin with a performance of Ottorino Respighi’s “Ancient Airs and Dances Suite No. 1,” and then feature new music by modern composers, including:

  • “Summon the Heroes” by John Williams
  • “American Landscape” by Soon Hee Newbold
  • “On Top of the World” by Brian Balmages”
  • “Conga Del Fuego Nuevo” by Arturo Marquez

The ASU Symphony Orchestra is directed by Dr. Fagner Rocha, assistant professor of music.
