Music: Woodwind Chamber Ensemble Concert

Join Angelo State University’s Woodwind Chamber Ensemble for its fall concert!

The concert is open free to the public. The Woodwind Chamber Ensemble includes the ASU Clarinet Choir, Flute Choir and Woodwind Quintet.

The Clarinet Choir will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Fugue No. IV” from “The Art of the Fugue,” Johannes Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 3,” Max Reger’s “Benedictus,” and Henry Mancini’s “Baby Elephant Walk.”  The Clarinet Choir is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, associate professor of music.

The ASU Flute Choir will perform Bach’s “Fugue in G Minor,” Joseph Jongen’s “Two Paraphrases on Walloon Christmas Carols,” and “The Flight of the Bumble Bee,” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.  The Flute Choir is directed by Dr. Constance Kelley, assistant professor of music.

The ASU Woodwind Quintet, directed by Dr. Jeff Womack, associate professor of music, will perform Franz Danzi’s “Quintet in G Minor, op. 56, no. 2” and Joseph Haydn’s “Presto from String Quartet in C major, Op. 22, no. 3.”
