In 1976\, he produced his first publ ic sculpture\, a 14-foot Plexiglas-and-steel sculpture commissioned for o ne of San Antonio's downtown parks. Since then\, he has produced artworks that have been showcased in exhibitions throughout Texas\, as well as in Louisiana\, Missouri\, New York\, Washington\, D.C\, Japan\, South Korea and Sweden. \; Raised in Austin\, Graeber spent two years at Southw est Texas State University and a brief stint with the facilities and desi gn division of the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardati on as a muralist and carpet designer.
