The Library of Congress added two Walt Whitman Collections to its Website and announces digital release of its most significant Whitman collection coming soon.

In a recent blog post the Library of Congress, holder of the world’s largest collection of Walt Whitman materials, announced the availability of two Whitman collections to their website.

The Thomas Biggs Harned Collection of Walt Whitman Papers contains 3000 items dating from 1842-1937. This collection includes correspondence, poetry, prose, manuscripts, notebooks, proofs, and more.

The Walt Whitman Papers (Miscellaneous Manuscript Collection) contains approximately 150 items and spans the years 1837-1957. This collection includes original correspondence, literary manuscripts, and family letters.

The blog also shared news about the upcoming digital release of its most significant Whitman collection, the Charles E. Feinberg Collection. This collection contains around 20,000 items including diaries, handwritten drafts, letters, manuscripts, notes, photographs, and more.
