Psychology Online Grad Program Nationally Ranked

Angelo State University has been ranked No. 2 among the nation’s top 20 “Best Value Colleges for an Online Master’s in Psychology” for 2016-17 by CollegeValuesOnline.com, a college resource guide for prospective undergraduate and graduate online students.

Specifically, ASU’s online Master of Science (M.S.) in applied psychology ranked No. 2 on the list of best value programs behind only the online master’s program at Idaho State University. Criteria for the rankings included accreditation, awards and recommendations, program customization options, teaching methods, research and scholarship opportunities, and related student organizations. 

Additionally, ASU’s online M.S. in applied psychology has been ranked No. 6 on the list of the top 10 “Most Affordable Online Master’s in Psychology” for 2016 by CollegeChoice.net, a college resource guide that ranks undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide variety of academic disciplines. Criteria included tuition cost and program flexibility. 

Angelo State’s M.S. in applied psychology program requires 36 credit hours and can be completed totally online or in a hybrid online/classroom format. An undergraduate degree in psychology is not required for admission to the program. 

ASU was the only Texas school to make the CollegeChoice.net rankings. In the CollegeValuesOnline.com rankings, the only other Texas school was LeTourneau University in Longview.
