The college life can be a bit stressful to students sometimes. ASU offers Counseling Services to all students enrolled in classes. Whether a student needs help dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment problems, or even just stress management, Counseling Services can help.
Every full-time ASU student pays a Medical Service Fee when they pay their bills. Included in this fee are Counseling Services at the ASU Health Clinic. If a student ever needs to see a counselor, all they need to do is set up an appointment at the Health Clinic and show up with their ASU OneCard, a valid Texas state ID and an insurance card (if they have insurance). Students who are distant learners can still take advantage of the services by paying the ASU Medical Service Fee at the Student Accounts/Bursar’s Office (located in the Mayer Administration Building).
The ASU Health Clinic is open Mon.-Fri. from 8am-5pm. The services offered include help with the following:
- Depression & Anxiety
- Problem Solving
- Decision Making
- Relationship issues
- Adjustment problems
- Test anxiety
- Family problems
- Alcohol & Substance Abuse
- Stress management
- Other Mental Health issues
- Sexual health resources
If a student has a Mental Health Emergency (during regular hours) they should contact Counseling Services at the Health Clinic or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
