The pair also hopes to involve other local builders and construction companies to increase the endowment even further.

This is the second scholarship endowment for ASU’s civil engineering program that is now in its second year after admitting its first students in the fall of 2015. This summer, the entire department is scheduled to move into the new Hunter Strain Engineering Laboratories building. Construction of the new building is being funded by a previous gift of $4.5 million from an anonymous donor.
